Now That's What I Call a Water Feature!

George Constantine Sigalas, III

George was born and raised in California, where he learned early about the significance of drought-resistant planting and management practices to creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes. He moved to Athens, Georgia, to attend the University of Georgia in 1992. It wasn't long before he and his wife, Kristin, decided they just couldn't leave.

After graduating with a BSA in Horticulture in 1996, George worked at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia. He later learned about landscape maintenance with a large landscaping company in Atlanta before working three years at Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee. As head horticulturist for the Club Amenities and the Owners Association, he successfully raised the bar to 5-star quality as the lakeside resort community prepared to welcome the Ritz-Carlton.     lk

In 2000, George and a colleague founded Landscape Discoveries. From the start, Landscape Discoveries featured George's expertise in design, plants, irrigation, grading and drainage. Over the years, out of a desire to deliver ever-more interesting and creative projects for clients, George has expanded his expertise and experience. Today, George and Landscape Discoveries create distinctive designs for landscapes that include masonry, stone work, ponds, walls, water features, concrete, and low-voltage lighting.
